Request for Information (RFI) - Control Electronics Panel (CEP) Units

DESCRIPTION OF INTENT:This is a Request for Information (RFI). No contract will be awarded from this announcement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, nor is it a request seeking contractors to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. Response to this market survey is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey and any follow-on information requests. Data submitted in response to this market survey will not be returned. No solicitation document exists at this time, and calls requesting a solicitation will not be answered.PROPRIETARY INFORMATION: It is the responsibility of Industry, when providing any comments/responses, to properly mark such information that is considered proprietary or is otherwise restricted. The United States Government (USG) is not obligated to protect unmarked data. Nor is the USG obligated for like data in possession of

third parties or data which is afterwards placed in the public domain by the contractor or by third parties through no fault of the USG. CAGE (commercial and Government entity) Code (if any): ________________________________________________________OBJECTIVE:The Army Contracting Command, Detroit Arsenal, in support of the Light Armored Vehicles (LAV) Program Manager, has a requirement to modify the Control Electronics Panel (CEP) that provides control and monitoring of the Automatic Fire Suppression System (AFSS) within all mission role variants of the Light Armored Vehicle Family of Vehicles (LAV FoV). The purpose of the upgrade is to address existing obsolescence issues, as well as to ensure the system maintains the same overwatch protection operation as the current CEP provides. Successful performance of this requirement necessitates access to the technical and firmware development tools as well as a demonstrated ability to have successfully performed modifications to the system in the past. The CEP and AFSS are manufactured by Kidde Technologies, Inc. The total estimated quantity of the requirement, which would be an upgrade from the existing Kidde CEP, is 673 units. Any interested offeror must articulate their experience with the LAV FoV CEP detailing any prior work performed modifying the system as well as how they plan to access and employ the technical data and software tools for the system. The offeror must provide their Quality Management System (QMS) description and be certified in the International Organization Standardization (ISO) 9001-2015 or equivalent.
