Combined Synopsis/SolicitationforEngine OverhaulTyndall AFB, FL 3240306 August 20191. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.2. The solicitation number is F4AT829154AW03 and is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ);3. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2019-03.4. This acquisition is an Other Than Full and Open associated with North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 81111. 5. The 325 Contracting Squadron (325 CONS) at Tyndall AFB, FL is seeking potential sources for an engine teardown and inspection for a minor overhaul. The contractor will notify the Contracting Officer with the findings and
quote to bring engine back to a fully operational condition. Once repair quote has been reviewed and approved, authorization will be granted by the Contracting Officer to proceed with necessary repairs. Once minor engine overhaul has been completed, an intial engine startup is to be performed in shop to verify the engine runs. The Contractor will perform all work in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), all applicable laws, regulations, Headquarters Air Force standards, instructions, and commercial practices.*The facility which perfroms the minor engine overhaul must be an authorized Detroit Diesel facility, or associated/affiliated with one.*The Performance Work Statement provides a list of Government Furnished Parts.6.
