CONTINUATION PAGE Under Statutory Authority 40 U.S.C. 501 and 41 U.S.C. 251 the VA Great Lake Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to procure a Brand Name Sole Source with Broda USA, Inc. specialized chairs to meet the needs of Veterans receiving hospice style of care who are unable to sit in a recliner chair or wheelchair due to being bedbound with poor truncal support and risk of injury or falling. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 40 U.S.C. 501 and 41 U.S.C. 251 implemented in FAR 8.405-6, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This will be a firm fixed price delivery order. The Department of Veterans Affairs has a Mandatory NAC contract on GSA 36F79721D0039 / Small Business / FSC Group 65, Part II, Section F: 36F79721D0039. Broda USA, Inc is the only company that manufactures and distributes Broda USA, Inc product and equipment. The NAICS Code is 334510. The Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive

quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and services to the Contract Specialist by 8:00 a.m. July 22, 2022. Supporting evidence must be furnished detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no response is received, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the sole source procurement with Broda USA, Inc.
