J041--Chiller Preventative Maintenance

Questions asked by vendor: 1. The chiller on Bldg 203 lower rooftop (Arctic Chill M# PACV..) is disconnected and looks to have various components removed. Staff says they can t run it and are planning to replace it. We won t be able to service this chiller. Can we remove this from the scope? 2. Will we be issued keys/card keys for access to the buildings for the days we do the service? Answers from VA: 1. No, it will not be removed from the scope. That chiller is being replaced as are some others on that list. When it is replaced, it will need to be maintained. This was already stated. This is an evolving contract. Old equipment gets replaced with new (and much easier to maintain) equipment. The list of equipment in the SOW favors the contractor. Bid accordingly.
