Road Intersection Widening, Pathway, and Bridge Rehabilitation Construction Services for Montreal Street at John Counter BoulevardNotice of Planned ProcurementClosing Date: 04/19/2024 03:00:00 PM ETDetail: PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE: The Corporation of the City of Kingston (“the City”) under its obligations to provide open, transparent, and non-discriminatory access pursuant to Annex 19-1 and Annex 19-6 of Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and Article 103 and Article 504 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) is announcing that it intends to undertake a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) process for the Road Intersection Widening, Pathway, and Bridge Rehabilitation Construction Services for Montreal Street at John Counter Boulevard. The RFP is expected to be posted publicly in March 2024 with an anticipated closing date in April 2024. The design and RFP documentation is nearing completion with the following anticipations at this time described below: Anticipated Scope: •
Intersection road widening of Montreal Street at John Counter Boulevard; • Associated traffic signals and street lighting (above/below ground); • Underground pipe work (water, sanitary, storm, gas); • New pathway along John Counter Boulevard from Ascot Avenue to Elliott Avenue; and • Bridge rehabilitation on Montreal Street overpass bridge north of John Counter Boulevard. Anticipated Schedule: • The bridge rehabilitation works are anticipated to occur over two years commencing in 2024 with carry over into 2025. • The majority of the other remaining works are anticipated to be to be completed in 2024 with limited carry over into 2025. All interested potential Proponents will be invited to submit responses to the RFP once issued. The RFP will be posted on Biddingo.com - www.biddingo.com/kingston. Without exception, potential Proponents that do not submit responses to the RFP, by the submission deadline stated within the RFP document will not be considered. GENERAL: The City assumes no liability, responsibility, or obligation whatsoever to any potential Proponents or other parties with respect to any aspect of this Notice. The City has no obligation to reimburse or in any way compensate any potential Proponents or other parties for expenses incurred in connection with or resulting from its receipt, review, or response to this Notice.
