Advanced Placement (AP) World History Textbooks

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE - THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO PEARSONThe Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to issue a sole source award to Pearson. This award will provide curriculum materials to meet College Board standards and to maintain consistency and continuity in instruction, this textbook is required. This material must align with College Board curriculum materials and is the only material approved for use. The resource required is World Civilizations: The Global Experience (ISBN 978013344447705).Pearson is the only publisher of the required textbook and the only vendor with sufficient quantities of these textbooks to meet DoDEA's requirement. This is the only approved materials for use until a new curriculum decision is made. The contract to replace this materials is anticipated to be competed in the FY 2018. This action is necessary in order to ensure the appropriate curriculum materials are available to

students when the new school opens in school year 2017-18.This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice no later than 10:00 a.m. ET, Tuesday, September 2, 2017 by email to leaundria.shaheed@eu.dodea.edu.All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
