Stoughton Public Library - Youth Services Librarian City of Stoughton, WI The Stoughton Public Library in Stoughton, Wisconsin is seeking an enthusiastic and creative full-time (40 hours per week) professional Youth Services Librarian to oversee operations of the Youth Services Department, including programming for ages birth – 11, outreach, and collection development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to schedule innovative and creative programming for children, teach the use of the public library to young people, and provide excellent customer service to children and their caregivers at our Children’s Services desk. This job also includes the opportunity to collaborate with our Teen Services Library Assistant and Stoughton Area School District. The work includes some nights and weekends. The qualifications for this position include a Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program, one to three years of library experience with a background in youth
services, experience selecting materials for Youth in a public library setting and managing collection development budget. The position also requires computer skills including database searching, familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, familiarity with eReaders, and general computer trouble shooting.
