The construction acquisition is to update the fiber optic cable located on the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO.The Contractor shall engineer, furnish, install and test (EFI&T) one (1) 36-strand SM FOC from BLDG. 5130 to BLDG. 4199 along with associated fiber optic distribution panels and all associated splicing and terminations. The Contractor shall install approximately 865 feet of new 2-way conduits, 960 feet of two 3 x 3” Geo- textile Fabric, and 2,525 feet of three 3 x 3” Geo-textile Fabric. The Contractor shall install the following new infrastructure; approximately 865 feet of new 2-way conduits, two innerduct approximately 100 feet each, two 3 x 3” Geo-textile Fabric approximately 960 feet, three 3 X 3” Geo-textile Fabric approximately 2,525 feet, and two (2) 36 ports FODP (coordinate exact location with 10th CS/SCXP). All new locations and distances are approximate.The Contractor shall EFI&T one (1) 36-strand SM FOC from BLDG. 4199 to BLDG. 2354 along
with associated fiber optic distribution panels and all associated splicing and terminations. The Contractor shall install approximately 10 feet of new 5” 2-way Galvanized steel conduit and 2340 feet of Geo-textile Fabric. The Contractor shall install the following new infrastructure; two innerduct approximately 100 feet each, three 3” x 3” Geo-textile Fabric approximately 2,340 feet and two (2) 36 ports FODP (coordinate exact location with 10th CS/SCXP). All new locations and distances are approximate.The Contractor shall EFI&T one (1) 12-strand SM FOC from BLDG. 2354 through HH-JV-22 and to BLDG. 1054 along with associated fiber optic distribution panels plus all associated splicing and terminations. The Contractor shall install approximately 13090 feet of new one (2) 1.25” HDPE SDR 11.5 conduit, and four (4) new 4’x4’x4’ handholes (HHs).The Contractor shall EFI&T one (1) 24-strand SM FOC from BLDG. 2354 through HH-JV-22 to BLDG. 1054 along with associated fiber optic distribution panels plus all associated splicing and terminations. The Contractor shall install approximately 29540 feet of 24-strand SM FOC from BLDG. 1054 through New HH-A4, New HH-A3, New HH-A2, New HH-A1, and all the handholes on the path to the transitional splice4. The Contractor shall EFI&T single mode (SM) fiber optic cable (FOC) from BLDG. 4199 to Bldg. 1054, and BLDG 9006 and associated terminating equipment, conduits to connect existing and new maintenance hole/conduit system components to the end building. Install total 15 Handholes: HH-1, HH-2, HH-3, HH-4, HH-5, HH-6, HH-8, HH-9, HH-10, HH-11, HH-12, HH-JV1, HH-JV2, JV-3, and HH-JV4. Install OSP FOC 144-Splice Case at HH-9Install OSP FOC 72-Splice Case at HH-12.The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and supervision necessary to accomplish this project. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with requirements contained in the Drawings and Specifications, and other attachments included with the solicitation.Place of Contract Performance: USAF Academy, CO 80840 United StatesSet-aside Status: This acquisition will be a competitive 100% set-aside for WOSB small businesses; all others will be deemed non-responsive. The North American Industries Classification System (NAICS) code is 237130 - Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction and the Small Business Administration (SBA) small business size standard is $39,500,000.00. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The proposed contract would be awarded to one vendor as a firm-fixed price construction contract. Current estimated completion time is 280 - 300 calendar days. All future notices will be posted under the current solicitation number (FA700024R0002). A solicitation is not available at this time; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation.
