REQUEST FOR INTEREST & QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BROWNFIELDS QUALIFIED ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONAL
A Brownfield is a property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.
The Pulaski County Brownfields Program and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is designed to empower states, communities, and other stakeholders in economic redevelopment to work together in a timely manner to prevent, assess, safely clean up, and sustainably reuse brownfields. Because concerns about future environmental risks and liability can hinder redevelopment, the Pulaski County Brownfields seeks to minimize the uncertainty surrounding actual or perceived contamination associated with these brownfield sites. To accomplish these program goals, the Pulaski County Brownfields seeks a Qualified Environmental Professional with the following qualifications:
Experience with EPA funded brownfield assessment activities Provides project management and community outreach services Conducting ASTM E1527-13 Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments Review of brownfield activities and deliverables Supporting the resolution of any environmental site risks Preparing an inventory of potential brownfield sites within Pulaski County Development of clean-up plans Submittal of monthly written updates of brownfield sites assessed Travel maybe required to brownfield project sites within Pulaski County Reports to Pulaski County Brownfield Program Administrator
