Page 1 of 5 ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO TERMINAL EXPANSION AIP 3-31-0045-036 (CARES) At KEARNEY REGIONAL AIRPORT (EAR) KEARNEY, NE Addendum Date: April 19, 2022 To Prospective Bidders: The contract documents/specifications and plans for the above referenced project are hereby amended as follows: Specifications: Entry 1: Replace the Table of Contents (pages ‘v.’ through ‘x.’) with the attached revised Table of Contents (Attachment No. 1) The updated Table of Contents eliminates some architectural specifications that were not included in the final 100% Issued For Bid Specifications. The updated Table of Contents also includes the following architectural specifications that were included in the 100% Issued For Bid Specifications. DIVISION 12 FURNISHINGS: 12 2413 Roller Window Shades ADDED DIVISION 14 CONVEYING SYSTEMS 14 5400 Baggage Handling Systems ADDED Entry 2: Any and all references to the “No Later Than (NLT)” date of October 1, 2023 for project completion (Contract Time) in the contract
specifications are hereby eliminated. The other calendar day allowances per phase still remain in effect. Entry 3: Replace Davis Bacon Wage Rates, “NE20220066 02/25/2022” with the attached Davis Bacon Wage Rates. “General Decision Number: NE20220066 03/18/2022” to be used for building construction (Attachment No. 2). As of April 18, 2022, the Davis Bacon Wage Rate “General Decision Number: NE20220047 02/25/2022” (Construction Type: Heavy) is still current. Entry 4: In Article 5, replace specification section B-101 Airport Safety Measures, Paragraph 101- 2.1 (d) with the following. d. Furnish, place, maintain, move, and remove jersey barriers with chain link fence as required by the CSPP. Entry 5: In Article 5, replace specification section B-101 Airport Safety Measures, Paragraph 101- 5.1 Basis of Payment with the following. 101-5.1 Airport Safety Measures Payment for all airport safety measures costs will be made at the contract lump sum price for "Airport Safety Measures”. This price shall be full compensation for furnishing all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and incidentals necessary to complete all items listed in Section 101-2.1 above. Based upon the contract lump sum price for “Airport Safety Measures", partial payments for "Airport Safety Measures" will be allowed as follows: Page 2 of 5 a. With placement of airport safety measures for Phase 1A: 40% b. With removal of airport safety measures for Phase 1A and placement of safety measures for Phase 1B: 25% c. With removal of airport safety measures for Phase 1B and placement of safety measures for Phases 2 and 2A: 25% d. With removal of airport safety measures: 10% Entry 6: In Article 5, under specification section B-102 Construction Staking, Paragraph 102-2.1 (a), eliminate the following sentence. Ditches Liners: Construction stakes and/or blue tops along ditch flowlines (25-foot intervals) and at critical ditch locations specified on the plans. Entry 7: In Article 5, under specification section B-102 Construction Staking, Paragraph 102-2.1 (e), replace the entire paragraph with the following. e. Storm Drain, Water Main and Sanitary Sewer Pipe: Cut/Alignment stake/hub placed at 25-foot intervals and at pipe inverts and/or fittings. Entry 8: In Article 5, replace specification section B-102 Construction Staking, Paragraph 102-2.2 with the following. 102-2.2 Contractor Provided Construction Control Monuments. The Contractor will provide the following control monuments: • Two (2) horizontal and vertical control monuments for pavement and building construction. Two (2) additional horizontal and vertical control monuments may be required for construction of the Airside Inlet at Sta 1+00.00 if requested by the RPR. Entry 9: In Article 6, regarding City of Kearney Standard Specifications for Municipal Construction, Section 11 Concrete Curb, Curb and Gutters, Concrete Surfacing, Sidewalks, Driveways, and Bikeways, Paragraph 11-30 (A) Preparation of Subgrade, the City’s Testing Firm (Benesch) will perform density tests to verify acceptable moisture and compaction. The Contractor shall not include costs for these tests in their bid. Chilled/Heating Water Buffer Tank: Buffer tank shall be ASME Code constructed and stamped in accordance with Section VIII of the ASME Code. Tank shall be registered with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors and a certificate of shop inspection shall be furnished. ASME working pressure shall be 125 psi. Material of construction shall be Carbon Steel. Tank shall be furnished with flanged ends for piping connections NPS 2-1/2 and larger, threaded connections for NPS 2 and smaller, an air vent, R-13 (minimum) spray foam or flexible, elastomeric thermal insulation, and an internal baffle to divert water flow.
