Police and Emergency Vehicle Products and Upfitting Service

The Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking to enter into master agreement(s) with qualified and eligible Respondent(s) for vehicle body and equipment installation and fabrication services ("upfitting"). The upfitting services will be primarily for law enforcement and emergency vehicles, as well as other State owed and operated vehicles that shall require the rendered services. The upfitting service are, but not limited to, computers, cameras, arbitrators, gun racks, cages, seats, push bumpers, sirens, lightbars, etc. on an as needed basis. The awarded Respondent(s) shall have the necessary and considerable experience with upfitting projects similar to the scope of work listed in the Scope of Work section (See Questions tab). Respondent shall be knowledgeable in the design, fabrication, and installation of technology and equipment for law enforcement vehicles. A Respondent shall provide material, labor, installation, and service for vehicles own and operated by the State of Iowa. A Respondent shall be expected to remove some existing equipment from retired vehicles and re-install the equipment in new vehicles as well as provide and install new equipment as needed. The resulting master agreement(s) from the RFB may be awarded to multiple Respondents and shall be available to all State Agencies, Political Subdivisions, Universities, etc. Iowa DAS shall not guarantee any amount of business throughout the longevity of this master agreement to the awarded
