LEGAL DESCRIPTION: F001S001WREQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Northern Regional Lands Office (NRO), has received an application from the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT) for a public access easement for the construction of two bus pullouts: one eastbound stop located at College and Danby and a westbound stop at College and Kathryne Ave. DOT states that the new pullouts will provide safer transportation along this busy route by moving the stops away from the active traffic lane. The subject lands are within the boundaries of Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge.

Construction is expected to take place the summer of 2022.
REQUESTED TERM: In Perpetuity

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK  99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
