American Academy of Periodontology Foundation invites applications for academic fellowship

The American Academy of Periodontology Foundationaims to improve the periodontal and general health of the public through increasing public and professional knowledge of periodontal diseases and their therapies, stimulating basic and clinical research to generate new knowledge, and enhancing educational programs at all levels to create opportunities in periodontal education and practice.Through its Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship, the foundation will award a single fellowship of $30,000 ($10,000 a year for up to three years) to a periodontist pursuing an academic career. Candidates must be either full-time faculty members at the instructor or assistant level or part-time faculty members. Candidates also must have been affiliated for 10 years or less with a degree-granting institution, and their career goal must be teaching and research in periodontology.
