Qualifications: The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A Contractor's license at the time of submitting bids. The minimum acceptable experience shall include direct responsibility for performing the necessary work. To be qualified, bidders must have completed a similar-type parking lot construction project for at least five (5) separate projects within the last three years (minimum of 30,000 square feet of contiguous area per project). Separate projects awarded under one contract may qualify as individual projects. Failure to meet the minimum qualification will render a bidder non-responsive. Special Requirements: 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. It shall be mandatory, upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established by the City Council as they apply to the work being performed.
