The Pasadena Police Department will be utilizing the barrier devices in different manners based on the need. They will be utilized to control ingress and egress to controlled and sanitized areas, to deny access to vehicular traffic for protecting the community and to facilitate traffic flow around large police events of various nature. Barriers must have the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT) certification under the SAFETY Act and have demonstrated unanchored vehicle stopping power certified by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and the Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 68 standards.2.
