All new work shall be in accordance with the latest editions of the International Building Code (IBC) and all applicable codes for sandblasting and painting. The Contractor shall field verify this scope of work at Abiquiu Dam. The intent of this SOW is to sandblast and paint the structural steel and steel decking, louvers, doors and vent pipes in the north and south adits at the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Abiquiu Dam. The following upgrades shall be performed: Note: the existing paint has tested negative for lead.Sand blast the portal structural steel frames in both the north and south adits, along with all accessible column faces, as shown in the photo below, louvers above entry doors, steel decking, beams, round steel vent pipe and entry doors. Next, Sherwin Williams Macro Poxy 920 rust penetrating pre primer, or equal, shall be applied, followed by two coats of Marco Poxy 646, or equal. Color of the paint shall be approved by the lake manager. All necessary preparations shall be taken for surface preparation, atmospheric conditions, etc., to achieve the best possible result as prescribed by the manufacturer, which is to have a corrosive resistant coating that will last for up to 10 years before re-painting will be required. All manufacturer's instructions shall be strictly followed. Any bubbling or peeling of the paint, or other deficiencies, shall be immediately corrected upon discovery.Contact Information: Glenda D.
