LOGISTICAL SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE GRAND CANYON MONITORING AND RESEARCH CENTERThe Department of Interior, U.S. Geological Survey, Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center (GCMRC) in Flagstaff, AZ has a requirement for logistical support services to support the planning and implementation of Grand Canyon and Glen Canyon research river trips that vary in length from a few days to 21 days or more. The number of participants on these trips range from several to 20 or more. Commercial and noncommercial (shuttle) drivers, boat operators and cooks (within the confines of the Colorado River between the Glen Canyon Dam to Lees Ferry (and beyond, until the first major rapid at approximately river mile 8)) and on Lake Powell, warehouse support personnel, river trip logistical support personnel, machinery maintenance personnel, and similar personnel may be required on an as-needed basis. Most of the need is for drivers and warehouse support personnel. This project will be entitled "GCMRC
Logistics" throughout the acquisition process.The USGS contemplates award of a labor hours type contract utilizing the commercial services acquisition procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 in conjunction with the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items at FAR Subpart 13.5. The anticipated contract duration is five (5) years, one (1) base year plus four (4) option years, most likely incrementally funded as requirements warrant, with a total ceiling price over the five year contract period not-to-exceed $525,000.00. The intended start date is 01 August 2024. The contract will be structured with various labor categories and associated rates; service will be provided on an as-needed basis at the agreed-upon rates. The solicitation, as a Request for Quotations, including a detailed statement of work and source selection criteria, is anticipated to be posted on sam.gov by end of April 2024. The solicitation is not available for release at this time. Interested parties may contact the Contracting Officer identified below by email to be added to the interest list.The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561990, entitled "All Other Support Services." The Product Service Code is R706, entitled "Support - Management: Logistics Support." The associated small business size standard is $16.5M in average.
