OLIVEDALE PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION PROJECT NO. 83003

Upland is accepting bids for “Olivedale Park Playground Equipment Installation” at Olivedale Park on E. 8th Street between S. Sultana Ave and S. Campus Ave, Upland, CA 91786 per the following: 1. Detailed information on the project is included in the attached scope of work. 2. The project shall be constructed in conformance with the 2021 Standards for Public Works Construction and the attached specifications. In submitting a Bid, the contractor agrees to all terms of the attached sample contract and shall enter into an agreement with the City prior to commencement of work. 3. The Contractor shall commence the work within ten (10) calendar days of Notice to Proceed and shall complete the work within thirty (30) working days. Daily damages of $250 per calendar day shall be assessed to the Contractor for failure to complete work in the time specified. 4. Payment for the work will be at the lump sum bid, which shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools and

equipment, and for doing all work involved in the project less 5% retention. 5. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten (10) percent of the total bid price, payable to the City of Upland. (NOTE: 10% Bid Bond only applies to construction estimate over $25,000). 6. The successful Contractor shall comply with all provisions of the California Labor Code and shall pay no less than the prevailing wage rates to all workers employed in the execution of this contract. Copies of certified payrolls shall be available for inspection at all times. 7. The Contractor shall obtain a City business license, insurances and bonds as required by the contract. 8. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class B or Class C-61/D34 Contractor’s License at the time of the Bid submittal. The Contractor shall also be currently registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. 9. A Non-Mandatory Bid walk will be held at Olivedale Park on E. 8th Street, Upland, CA 91786 on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. 10. Bids shall be provided in a sealed envelope and will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the City Clerk’s Office in the City of Upland City Hall, 460 N. Euclid Avenue, Upland, CA 91786. Include “Bid for Olivedale Park Playground Equipment Installation” on the outside of the bid submittal envelope. Submittal must include Bid Submittal form, signed Bidder Declaration, Bid Bond form, completed Bidder’s General Information, and completed Subcontractors form. 11. It is the responsibility of each prospective Bidder to download and print all Bid Documents for review and to verify the completeness of Bid Documents before submitting a bid. Any Addenda will be posted on https://www.uplandca.gov/rfps-bids. It is the responsibility of each prospective Bidder to check the website on a daily basis through the close of Bids for any applicable Addenda or updates.
