INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR-ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENTCity of Watertown, WIThe City of Watertown is seeking an Information Technology Coordinator as we continue to move forward in modernizing our teams! This position reports to the Mayor and directly interfaces with all departments. Every day is different and exciting!The IT Coordinator is responsible for project management, planning, implementing, supporting, updating, monitoring, changing, and protecting the City’s information systems, databases, and network applications to provide a stable and secure environment for City departments. The scope of work for this position includes the daily support, installation, testing, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of desktops, printers, peripherals, client applications, audio video devices and telecommunication systems for facilities. Candidates will be responsible to respond to more immediate decisions to ensure problems reach resolution timely. This position will study the
organization’s current information systems and procedures and facilitate solutions to help operations be more efficiently and effectively run. Bachelor of Science degree or technical degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in IT operations, installing and maintaining PC’s, network servers and LAN Intranets/Extranets, including Internet connectivity, maintenance and VPNs. An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, data storage systems, phone systems and Windows server OS/Office products strongly preferred.Benefits package includes but is not limited to: paid vacation, sick, compensatory pay, medical, dental, Wisconsin retirement system, flex spending, deferred compensation and stable working hours.
