No faxed or e-mailed submissions shall be accepted. This proposal will result in a service contract. There are no known projects at this time. There are no plans associated with this proposal. The awarded vendors will be required to submit their employee's fingerprinting information after the award notifications have been issued. For this proposal process the words proposal, proposals and proposer shall be interchangeable with bid, bids and bidders. This is a Request for Proposal process. The use of this purchasing method allows for negotiation of scope and value of this contract. The District may request additional information, conduct

interviews, or collect any other information deemed necessary to fairly evaluate this proposal. A responsive proposal shall consist of one (1) original copy of the proposal per the PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS and five (5) copies of same along with the completed electronic submission. SCOPE: The purpose and intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed qualifications from qualified sources to establish a contract through negotiations for the purchase of services as outlined in this RFP, for Asbestos Abatement for the Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD). This is a two-step proposal process. The School District will evaluate the proposals in step one based on the qualification criteria stated herein and shall select the Contractor(s) that submits the proposal that offers the best value for the School District. The School District will request quotes from the awarded Contractor(s) in step two once a specific abatement project is identified. ANNUAL EXPENDITURE: The estimated expenditure for this contract is approximately $300,000 per year. However, this estimate should not be construed to be a guarantee of either minimum or maximum since usage is dependent upon actual needs and available funding. This estimate may be exceeded by 25% annually. TERM: This bid will be firm for two (2) year from date of award, with the option to be renewed for three (3) additional years, in one (1) year increments, provided all prices remain firm and both parties agree. An email reminder will be sent at the beginning of the three optional renewal periods and the vendor will automatically be renewed for an additional one year unless they opt out in writing.
