The C5ISR Center, ESI Directorate, Operations Intelligence Division (OID) has a requirement to support the Army MI Enterprise Cloud which offers the Government systems and applications with high availability, scalability, and security in various operational environments. This new work under the IDEA effort is referred to as Modernization of Intelligence Cloud Systems (MICS). MICS will modernize legacy-based systems through requirements collection, analysis, and refinement, test, evaluation, modeling & simulation (M&S) to architecture design, implementation, cybersecurity, and sustainment of capabilities by utilizing presently in-process Cloud-based technologies and operations under the IDEA Task Order. MICS will leverage the efforts and findings from IDEA to integrate new technologies into fielded systems to enhance their capabilities and readiness for today’s environments. IDEA currently focuses on research & development, integration, transition, and sustainment of Artificial Intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML)/deep learning (DL) on big data analytics for intelligence applications related to Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) and Joint All Domain Operations (JADO) in the Cloud-based environments. IDEA and MICS requirements aim to support the fully combined arms employment of joint and Army capabilities to create and exploit relative advantages that achieve objectives, defeat enemy forces, and consolidate gains on behalf of joint force commanders through the implementation and deployment of Army MI Cloud technologies. Both IDEA and MICS requirements support Army MDO and JADO (which is an evolution of MDO concept – a truly integrated forces/applications)
