The Integrated Library System (ILS) is used by all schools and other sites in the TDSB for managing circulation, access to and use of print and digital resources as well as technology and kits. It serves all students, all staff, all schools and central libraries (eg. Science Kit Centre, Archives, UIEC, Music library, Hearing library, Teaching Resources and the Professional Library. There is significant system integration with IT Services, notably Single Sign On (SSO) for user authentication, and daily upload of staff and student data files for patron management. In the RFP we will be seeking a robust ILS that includes seamless print, physical materials, eBook and digital resource integration with robust privacy, security and system integration. This system is integral to ongoing transformation and modernization to serve the needs of students and educators now and in the future.
