INVITATION TO BID NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Yakima, 129 North 2nd Street, Yakima, Washington, 98901 until 2:00 pm on June 21, 2021 and will then and there be opened and publicly read for the construction of CITY OF YAKIMA Spring Creek Road Improvement Project, Phase 3 Wetland Mitigation Area Construction City of Yakima Project No. 2549 This Contract provides for the earthwork required to establish a wetland mitigation site adjacent to Billy’s Pond within the Wastewater Treatment Plant property. Work shall consist of wetland excavation including haul, crushed surfacing top course, topsoil type A and other work, all to be constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into

such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Yakima. Bids can be mailed (Fed-Ex, UPS, etc.) to the City of Yakima and must arrive before 2:00 pm on the bid opening date. The apparent low bidders name will be available thereafter by calling the City of Yakima Engineering office at 509-575-6111. Due to the Governor’s COVID-19 public meetings restriction, the City Council chambers will be closed to the public.
