Lock C Barge Site Improvements

Added:Jun 17, 2019 12:15 pm The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, anticipates soliciting a requirement for a firm fixed price construction contract to clear grub and reshape areas for vehicle staging and command and control operations. Areas are to be graded to provide adequate surface drainage. Clear and grub Vehicle staging area must be able to accommodate POV parking of up to 10 vehicles. Widen existing roadways to accommodate two-way traffic. Install culverts, improve entrance area for vehicle traffic from Lylewood Rd. Remove and dispose of excess topsoil from site work. Fill and compact subbase and base material. Place 12" of compacted aggregate over staging areas and mission command area and locations adjacent to loading ramp. Material shall be compacted to support a loaded 10 cubic yard dump truck and not create more than 3" rut. Construct new 24' wide road running through staging areas and connecting to Lylewood road west of the staging area. Install

Lock C is located at Cumberland River Mile 108.5 on the right hand or northern bank of the Cumberland River. The closest physical address is the Lylewood Inn, 110 Camp Lylewood Rd, Indian Mound, TN 37079. Lock C is located approximately 1.5 miles east of the Lylewood Inn. A Google Earth map is provided to show the physical location and coordinates of the site.Since the site location is an area that can be accessed by the public, interested vendors are NOT required to submit a site visit request form.
