NOTICE OF A REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS NOTICE is given by the York County Rail Trail Authority (YCRTA) that it is seeking sealed bids for the salvage of railroad rail and other track material (OTM) within the corridor previously owner by the Genesee and Wyoming Railroad, and recently acquired by the YCRTA. Sealed Bids shall be received online via the PennBid Program (
www.PennBid.net) until 10AM prevailing time, on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, by the York County Rail Trail Authority, York County, Pennsylvania. The bids will be publicly opened and read electronically, via PennBid’s website, at 10AM (prevailing time), same date. Copies of Bidding Documents for Rail Salvage are available online and at no cost at
www.PennBid.net. Note: The York County Rail Trail Authority have authorized C.S. Davidson, Inc. to act on their behalf by opening bids. Bid award is expected to be made at a regularly scheduled public meeting of the YCRTA Board, following the opening. Each bidder must be prepared to submit evidence of his qualifications to perform the work. A bid bond by acceptable surety or a certified check made payable to the YCRTA in the amount of 10% of the bid will be supplied with the written bid. The Contract Time for this project is one hundred twenty (120) calendar days. The York County Rail Trail Authority reserves the right to accept any bid or reject any or all bids.
