Synopsis:Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Contract, to provide calibration services for American Hofmann balance machines to American Hofmann Corporation. This requirement is for commercial items as defined in FAR 2.101 and will be prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice.The requirement will be awarded on a sole source basis. American Hoffman Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and thereby possesses the technical expertise and knowledge needed to provide the calibration of the balance machines. American Hoffman Corporation owns the proprietary rights to the Machines. All replacement parts and calibration must be one for one in order for the machines to run correctly and operate safely.The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 811210, Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and
Maintenance with a size standard of 34 million dollars. The Product Service Code is J049.The period of performance for this acquisition is anticipated to begin 14 February 2023 to 24 February 2023, with two 10-day option periods – one in 2024 and one in 2025. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
