The provision of services shall include, but not limited to, item reviews, passage reviews, and proofreading of statewide assessments in Unified English Braille, Unified

English Braille Math/Science and/or Unified English Braille with Nemeth. Contractor(s) shall assist FIMC-VI in ensuring high quality by providing expert reviews of FCLE, NGSSS/NGSSS-AP EOC, NGSSS/NGSSS-AP Science, FSA/FSAA—PT, FSA/FSAA—PT EOC, FAST/B.E.S.T./B.E.S.T.-AP, B.E.S.T./B.E.S.T.-AP EOC, and FCLE materials to ensure that they are appropriate for students with visual impairments. The statewide assessment program implements the requirements of s. 1008.22, Florida Statutes, and requires assessment of the academic achievement of all Florida’s public-school students in the required grade levels and content areas. EOC assessments are designed to assess student knowledge of specific courses as students complete those courses without regard to the grade level in which they are enrolled. Within the population of Florida public school students is a group of students with disabilities. A number of these students are students with visual impairments. The item and passage set reviews are conducted using only the print to determine braillability and are counted per print item or passage set. The proofreading of assessment items is conducted using braille and is counted per braille page.
