Description:Bidders must be properly licensed under North Carolina state law to perform the work.
An Experience Modification Rating (EMR) of .9 or better, averaged over the last three (3) years, is required to be considered for award of this project.
A 5% bid security is required with each bid that equals or exceeds $300,000.
The estimated cost of this Project is $89,000.00.
The City of Charlotte reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities as it may deem to be in its best interest.

The Work includes the provision of all labor, material, equipment, supervision and administration to include:
1- Roof Area A1 (Approximately 1,968 square feet): Remove the existing roof system down to the existing wood plank deck; re-secure wood plank deck to framing members; mechanically attach base sheet; adhere two layers of 2.2” roof insulation in foam adhesive; adhere overlayment insulation in foam adhesive; adhere a two-ply modified bitumen roof membrane and flashings in low VOC cold process adhesive and provide new sheet metal flashings and trim to provide a complete, watertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly.
2- Roof Area A1: Remove and store terracotta coping; provide fully soldered stainless-steel flashing over parapet wall; provide sheet metal underlayment; set terracotta in grout and replace damaged pieces in accordance with unit prices.
3- Roof Area A2 (Approximately 69 square feet): Remove the existing roof system down to the existing structural metal deck; re-secure the existing metal deck to structural members; mechanically attach 1.5” roof insulation; adhere 1.5” insulation in foam adhesive; adhere overlayment insulation in foam adhesive; adhere a two-ply modified bitumen roof membrane and flashings in low VOC cold process adhesive and provide new sheet metal flashings and trim to provide a complete, watertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly.
