Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 1901 the Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract modification with WATERTECH OF AMERICA INC for updates to the Water Quality Monitoring System to ensure compliance with VA Directives at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. WATERTECH OF AMERICA INC has performed previous work on this system. This request is for sustainment of a service. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures as implemented in FAR 13.106-3(b)(3)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This will be a firm fixed price contract for a one-time installation of necessary updates Water quality monitoring is required per VHA Directive 1061 Legionella Prevention and very specific readings are required. The existing water quality monitoring panels
must be replaced due to age. The updated panel is to not only meets the requirements of the VHA directive, but also is a near direct replacement so that piping and electrical wiring changes are not required. This not only ensure compliance with the directive but expedites replacement so that monitoring is not interrupted, and we ensure water safety for Veterans and staff. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 221310 with a business size standard of $41.0 Million. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 10:00 AM Local Time (Central) Wednesday, 03/13/2024. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This evidence shall include a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating vendor is an authorized service vendor per VAAR Clause 852.212- 71(c). Information must be sent to the Contract Specialist, Justin Lemke at Justin.Lemke@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated, however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
