Job Description:BCC invites applicants who enjoy working with a diverse student population to apply for a full-time tenure track position in psychology. We are seeking a faculty member to teach the introductory course as well as 200-level courses such as Human Growth and Development and Abnormal Psychology. An ability to teach Social Psychology and Adolescent Psychology is also appreciated. Psychology courses are taken by students in the Psychology Program as well as other programs such as Human Services, Criminal Justice, and Nursing. In addition to teaching, the faculty member will advise students, undertake professional development activities, assist in recruitment and programmatic development, and engage in college service through committee work. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative colleague interested in equity-minded pedagogy. Requirements:Master's Degree in Psychology required, CAGS or PhD in Psychology preferred. Candidate will demonstrate a depth of knowledge and experience in the discipline as evidenced by academic preparation and prior college teaching experience, preferably at the community college level. We encourage candidates with a student-centered mindset and an interest in active learning strategies and experience with teaching in different modalities to apply. Salary will be determined by credentials and experience.
