Added: Oct 27, 2017 11:16 am Modified: Dec 02, 2017 10:00 am Track Changes PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision required to Dredge Boat Basin at U.S. Coast Guard Station Little Creek; Virginia Beach, VA 23455. Major work items include: Perform before and after soundings of the entrance channel and mooring area adjacent to Coast Guard station by a Coast Guard approved registered surveyor. Additional dredging quantities are to be determined by the "before and after" soundings. Base Dredging: Coordinate with USCG Station personnel to move station vessels to accommodate dredging operations. Contractor to move floating piers and gangways so that dredging can be completed as shown on the construction drawings. Replace floating piers and gangways at completion of dredging. Dredge the channel and mooring area of USCG Station Little Creek to limits and cross sections shown by mechanical means to a depth of (-8) feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW). Deposit dredge material on barges, transport by barge to an unloading site selected by the Contractor, unload, and transport by truck to the Clearfield MMG, Inc. Materials Recovery Facility dredge material placement site. The contractor shall pay all tipping fees and submit all manifests and information required by the selected landfill. The estimated amount of material to be removed from within the specified limits, including side slopes and exclusive of over-depths is 342 cubic yards. Provide additional cubic yards of dredge material needed to achieve project depth requirements. Over Dredging: Dredge the channel and mooring area of USCG Station Little Creek to a maximum depth of (-9) feet MLLW. The estimated amount of over-depth dredging from within the specified limits, including side slopes, is 209 cubic yards. Disposal Site: The Contractor shall comply with all requirements of the Disposal Agreement. This agreement will be posted with the solicitation. The contractor shall make arrangements for disposal of excavated materials directly with the Clearfield MMG, Inc. Materials Recovery Facility. Any other sampling and testing required or necessary to use the Clearfield MMG, Inc. Materials Recovery Facility dredge material placement site for the dredge disposal material will be the Contractor's responsibility and expense. Period of performance is 84 DANTP. This procurement is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside The applicable NAICS is 237990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $27.5M.
