The mission of TEA is to improve outcomes for all public school students in Texas by providing leadership, guidance, and support to school systems. TEA’s Contracts and Purchasing Division (CPD) is responsible for the procurement of goods and services that support TEA’s mission as well as, without limitation, the educational, research, administrative, and business initiatives of TEA. CPD seeks counsel to provide advice, support, and training with respect to procurement best practices, and novel procurement issues, including, but not limited to, complex contract revision and negotiation matters, matters involving intellectual property, matters involving information technology (IT), matters involving SaaS platform access, matters involving software development and related software contracting issues Any engagement resulting from this solicitation will be documented by a formal contract that has been approved by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) and is subject to further modification by TEA or the OAG (TGC § 402.0212).
