(U) Single and Multi-Modal Sensing for Hostile Fire Detection for Dismounted Soldiers (MMHFD)(U) Request for Information (RFI)(U) Due Date: 30 Days After Posting(U) Synopsis(U) The Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center Research and Technology Integration (RTI) Directorate is seeking information from industry on the development and demonstration of dismounted gunshot detection and localization technologies. These may be multi-modal and should be low size, weight, power and cost (SWAP-C) sensors. Full system solutions should enhance the Soldier’s situational awareness by detecting and localizing small arms gunshots and provide distance, direction, and a description of the gunshot(s).These technologies should be suitable for individual Soldiers and small-unmanned vehicle platforms. Important parameters may include response time, range to target, false alarm rate (FAR), probability of detection (PoD),
description/classification and azimuth/elevation to target. The information provided will support market research, project planning for systems research, to include systems requirement development.
