Rental of Walk Through Metal Detectors (Magnetometers)

TrackTown USA (TTUSA), in conjunction with USA Track & Field (USATF) and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), will be hosting the 2021 US Olympic Trials – Track & Field June 19-28, 2021 at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon, in Eugene, Oregon. The National Guard Bureau (NGB) intends to award a sole source contract for Rental of Walk Through Metal Detectors (Magnetometers) requirement with a period of performance from 11 June 2021 to 28 June 2021. The Walk Through Metal Detectors (Magnetometers) shall provide ability to screen for weapons, threatening devices, and metallic items commensurate with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and industry screening protocols. In addition,  throughput gates are required to have the ability to reduce the need for physical contact (touchless) and to allow for social distancing.  Given these considerations, Evolv Express Touchless Screening Solution equipment will be used to support this event.NGB intends to

award this sole source contract to Evolv Technolgies, Inc. as they are the only responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements IAW 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B). Competition was not sought for this requirement as the Government determinate that only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In accordance with the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Part 206 Competition Requirements, PGI 206.302-1 when utilizing the authority at FAR 6.302-1, the contracting officer shall post a request for information or a sources sought notice, and shall include the results of this inquiry in the justification required by FAR 6.303. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. Any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting the Rental of Walk Through Metal Detectors (Magnetometers requirement described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill the requirement being requested by 1500 ET on 06 June 2021. Responses must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer, MAJ Robert T. Telephone responses and requests will not be received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
