B-2 Adaptable Communications Suite (ACS) Equipment

The United States Air Force (USAF) awards a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the purchase of Adaptable Communication Suite components to address new capabilities, parts/components obsolescence and unforeseen maintenance issues.  This BOA will have an ordering period of five (5) years and a period of performance of six (6) years.  The components include: electromagnetic interference certified keyboards, displays, wire harness, computers, power supplies, keyboard/video/mouse switch box, and a system control panel.  Also, the work could include the development and testing of new designs to address obsolescence concerns or new requirements coming from the user to add capability.  The USAF awards this effort as a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source because of a duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition if awarding to any other source and that supplies are only available from one source and no other supplies satisfy the requirement. The USAF awards this sole source contract to The Crystal Group, Inc., 855 Metzger Dr., Hiawatha, IA.
