Immediately after this, interested parties may meet in Room 303 of the Raleigh Municipal Building, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the replacement of the shingle roofs at the City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources buildings and sites listed below. After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The

Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder for each site, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the Bid Form for the performance of the Contract. The City reserves the right to award the re-roofing projects individually by site choosing as many or as few contractors as it deems is in its best interest. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10 AM, March 5, 2021 at 222 West Hargett Street, lower level parking deck, behind the Raleigh Municipal Building. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend this meeting. Parking to attend this meeting is available on the south side of W. Hargett St. directly across the street from the Raleigh Municipal Building. Requirements for pre-bid submittals of an or-equal, or owner approved equivalent are required within [14] days of the issuance of the Advertisement for Bids and in accordance with Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders. The Project consists generally of the following major items: Remove all existing roofing, underlayment, drip edges, gutters, downspouts and deteriorated deck materials/soffits in accordance with the specifications provided in the bidding documents. Replace the underlayment, drip edges, shingle roofing, gutters, downspouts and deteriorated deck materials in accordance with the specifications provided in the bidding documents. Note that in locations which currently have gutters, the gutters are to be removed and replaced with new products. New gutters/downspouts are only required at locations which currently have gutters/downspouts.
