** AMENDMENT A00001 PACS Maintenance 36C10D23Q0073 Contractor Questions and Government Responses & update solicitation due date and time ** Question 1. What is included in emergency preventative maintenance ? Answer 1. See statement of work (solicitation page 13, page number may be different on actual solicitation post) The Contractor shall provide emergency and unscheduled preventative maintenance inspection services that includes inspecting and troubleshooting the security system equipment as appropriate in order to determine the cause of the problem(s) and actions needed to restore the system equipment. Question 2. Is the contractor to include the cost of all labor and materials to correct a deficiency if found or will this be a change order? Answer 2. Repairs are not included in this solicitation s resulting contract. Repair cost to include labor and materials identified during the inspections will be provided by the vendor to the government. Depending on the cost of the repairs,
the government can use its government credit card to purchase the repairs services from a vendor from the government s choosing. Or, at the government s discretion, decide as to how to proceed to procure the repairs services outside of this solicitation s resulting contract. Question 3. Is the Softwarehouse system on the VA Network? Answer 3. Yes Question 4. Whan a faulty item is need of repair is found during a quarterly preventative maintenance is the labor and material repair cost a change order or included in the base price? Answer 4. Can you please clarify this statement? Answer 5. If the system were to go down the VA would like the ability to have the vendor to evaluate the system evaluated to determine a corrective action and associated costs. Questions 6. Does the VA have drawings of all sites with device locations? If not, does the VA at least have drawings of all sites? Answer 6. The VA has some drawings and a staff that is knowledgeable of all the device locations. Question 7. If no current as builts are available, does the VA expect the contractor to update them as part of this contract? Answer 7. See answer above (answer 6). Question 8. Is the system 100% operational condition or are their known issues that need to be addressed immediately by the awardee? Answer 8. 100% operable, only known updates are needed. Question 9. How many service calls per month does the VA place on average? Answer 9. Usually, not more than once per month. Some months can be more if the VA is having reader issues.
