 Vendor Communication Announcement - U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Facilities Division-Facilities Modernization BranchBeltsville, MDThe United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Administrative and Financial Management, Facilities Division, Facilities Modernization Branch is sponsoring an Vendor Communication Forum for engineering & construction related services on 07 June 2018. The Vendor Communication Forum will be held at the USDA-George Washington Carver Center, 5601 Sunnyside Ave, Beltsville, MD, 20705.PURPOSE: Communicate FY18 and FY19 Contracting Opportunities. Discuss Specific Design-Build Opportunities. Encourage networking among vendors and ARS. Gain a better understanding of recent Industry developments. Facilitate Communication among ARS program offices (FD-FMB) and industry representatives. Incorporate reasonable industry concerns into ARS business practices.The Vendor Communication session
will be two-part, an overview of program requirements/opportunities, followed by a Q&A session. One on One meetings will not take place at this engagement forum.Please note that the Government will not accept capabilities statements from any vendor during this event. Capabilities statements should be sent via email to Cathy.Widner@ars.usda.gov, no later than 25 May 2018.Industry Day will be held from 1000 to approximately 1200 on 07 June 2018 at the George Washington Carver Center, 5601 Sunnyside Ave, Beltsville MD, 20705.PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Due to space limitations, the number of participants is restricted to three (3) per company, with the option of one (1) alternate. All participants must be U.S. citizens. Participation by small and small disadvantaged businesses is strongly encouraged.Interested parties must submit the posted registration form, alphabetized by last name, via e-mail, NLT 1500 EDT 25 May 2018 to. Cathy Widner at cathy.widner@ars.usda.gov . Attendees must provide information in advance to ensure access to the building and adequate seating for the attendees.Due to the proximity to the University of Maryland (Graduations) and Beltway I-495 we highly encourage vendors to plan accordingly in order to arrive and pass through security timely.ARS-FD-FMB is eager to hear from all interested vendors. Potential offerors are encouraged to submit questions, comments, or additional discussion points to the Contracting Officer, Michael Wigfall, NLT 1500 EDT 25 May 2018 at michael.wigfall@ars.usda.gov.
