Amendment 0001  to post questions received and their applicable answers.  Offer deadline date remains the same.  See Attachment 1 - Specifications, Rev. 1._____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking qualified and capable contractors to submit offers for a Air Handler Unit (AHU) project at FAA's Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) located in Houston, Texas.This procurement is open to ALL-sized businesses.  The NAICS code for this project is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, which has a small business size standard of $16.5 Million.  Estimated size of this project:  Between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000.Work included in project:  Phase 1:  Demolish AHU 207 and provide and install new AHU and all associated work.Phase 2:  Demolish AHU 206 and 208.  Provide and install new units and complete all
associated work.  Only one unit will be removed from service at a time.Phase 3:  Refurbish AHU 201, 202, 203, and 204, and complete all associated work.  Only one unit will be removed from service at a time.Phase 4:  Demolish AHU 209 and provide and install new AHU and all associated work, including all VAVs associated with AHU 209.  Spot check North wall for mold and water damage.  Replace EWH 201.  This will will take place in an active air traffic break area.  Contractor will be required to develop a plan of action that will limit disturbance to occupants and keep them safe.Phase 5:  Demolish AHU 16 and 17 and provide and install new AHUs.  Only one unit will be removed from service at a time.  Contractor may need to provide adequate temporary air conditioning to all affected zones.Phase 6:  Demolish AHU 216, 217, 219, 220, and 221, and provide and install new AHU units.  Only one unit will be removed from service at a time.  Contractor may need to provide adequate temporary air conditioning to all affected zones.Phase 7:  Demolish AHU 301 and provide and install new unit and complete all associated work, including the replacement of all VAVs associated with AHU 301 and the replacement of FC 401, EF 402, RF 101, and RF 301.  This work will take place in an active air traffic work area.  Contractor will be required to develop a plan of action that will limit disturbance to occupants and keep them safe.  IMPORTANT DATES / TIMES (SEE ATTACHED RFO COVER LETTER & RFO SECTIONS L & M FOR COMPLETE DETAILS):RSVP FOR SITE VISIT BY 3:00PM CENTRAL TIME, THURSDAY, MARCH 10, 2022SITE VISIT SCHEDULED FOR 10:00AM CENTRAL TIME, MONDAY, MARCH 14, 2022QUESTIONS DUE BY 5:00PM CENTRAL TIME, THURSDAY, MARCH 24, 2022OFFERS DUE BY 5:00PM CENTRAL TIME, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6, 2022
