Structure Replacement

Work included under this contract consists of all site work to suit project preparation, execution, and completion. This includes demolition of existing superstructure Smithtown Bridge Three Lane over Delaware Canal (#450-3517). It will be replaced with a prestressed concrete box beam superstructure with a 10’-6” clear roadway width. Also included is demolition of existing superstructure Smithtown Bridge Four Lane (#450-3555). It will be replaced with a prestressed concrete box beam superstructure with a 10’-6” clear roadway width. Also included is demolition of existing structure Raubsville Culvert (#450-5890). It will be replaced with a steel plate pipe culvert. Replacement at each structure, except for Raubsville Culvert, will also include paving of the approach roadway and associated timber guiderail.
