Task 1: Project Management, Meetings, & Coordination Task 2: Existing Conditions and Site Analysis Task 3: Develop Concepts Task 4: Fiscal Impacts and Cost Estimates Task 5: Final Report & Recommendations Other Details The City is seeking professional services from an experienced consulting firm to develop options to improve, redevelop, or replace the recreational restrooms. The selected firm/consultant (the Consultant) will review available data and reports, investigate the site, facility, and concerns, record all necessary improvements needed, provide recommendations for remedy, analyze financial feasibility, develop design concepts, and report their findings in a well-documented feasibility study. Concept considerations may include, but are not limited to: • Reconfiguration of the existing restrooms within their current footprint; • Expansion of restrooms into adjacent rooms; • Conversion of existing restrooms into single-occupancy restrooms; • Creation of an additional single occupancy restroom within the building; and/or • Addition of a new separate, possibly prefabricated, restroom building within the park and repurposing the existing restrooms. Additionally, the Parks and Recreation Department has requested installation of approximately 6,200 square feet of artificial turf in the vicinity of the building. This request is due to consistently muddy conditions in this area of natural turf due to heavy use. The feasibility study shall include a section describing this request for inclusion in the future construction documents. Ultimately, the recommended conceptual design(s) will be presented to the Departments of Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Community Development, and City Council for their consideration and approval towards project funding and design development. The City anticipates the Project will commence upon contract award and execution in May/June 2024 and all contract work will be completed by September 30, 2024.
