Submittals are requested from Companies that have a demonstrated ability to perform the tasks identified in this Request for Qualification (“RFQ”).The successful Design-Build Entities (DBE) will be required to complete the Project design as approved by the applicable City approval body and comply with all conditions of approval. The successful DBE must also meet certain specifications and requirements of the City including, without limitation, the provision of specific equipment, finishes, and other performance specifications.BackgroundThe City of Banning
is located in the northwestern portion of Riverside County, approximately 25 miles east of downtown Riverside and approximately 30 miles west of the City of Palm Springs. The City is bounded by the San Bernardino Mountains to the north; Cherry Valley to the northwest; the City of Beaumont to the west and southwest; unincorporated County area to the south; the San Jacinto Mountains to the southeast; and the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and unincorporated community of Cabazon to the east. The City’s total land area is 14,848 acres or 23.2 square miles. According to the 2020 Census Data, the resident population of the City is 29,528, and estimated to be 30,273 as of July 1, 2021. Since the City’s water service area comprises 100 percent of the population residing within the City limits, the total current resident population served by the City’s water system is approximately 31,125 persons, including those outside City limits. The City also provides sewer collection and treatment services.
