The purpose of this announcement is to perform market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified small businesses relative to NAICS 333994, Industrial Process Furnace and Oven Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 Employees. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO 16) is seeking to identify any small business capable of providing a Bed Bug Oven in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Gulf Coast Veteran Health Care System (GCVHCS), 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39531. A bed bug oven is a non-toxic, natural, and environmentally safe way to kill 100% of bed bugs in all life-cycle stages eggs, nymphs, and adults. A bed bug oven kills 100% of bed bugs in all life stages, including eggs, nymphs and adults. GCVHCS is contemplating a bed bug oven that must be 6 feet tall, wide and deep
with 216 cubic feet of storage area. Oven features include 1" thick fiberglass insulation, door switches and over temperature switches on the heart modules. The Power Supply is 115VAC and plugs into standard wall outlet. The anticipated salient characteristics are: The unit must have an insulated cabinet. The unit must use an electric heating element. The unit must have air system and must be able to be controlled digitally. The unit must come pre-wired. The unit must be able to maintain the proper temperature. The unit must be able to have a pre-programmed digital controller for high and low temperatures. The unit must have a safety sensor that will activate in case of an overtemperature. The unit must be mounted on casters. The unit must have at least two open mesh baskets that slide out to the front for the loading of the items to be treated . The unit must have heating elements and blower unit mounted Prior to issuing a solicitation, and pursuant to the Veterans First Contracting Program, the VA is trying to ascertain if there are any qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) with the capability of providing the above services: (Respondents are not limited to SDVOSB/VOSB concerns; the Government seeks to identify all potentially interested sources). Responses to these sources sought must include the following information: 1. Your company name, address, contact person name, phone number, fax number, e-mail address(s) and DUNS number and company website if available. 2. Your company GSA/FSS contract number if available. 3. Socio-economic status of business (i.e. SDVOSB/VOSB, 8(a), HUB Zone, Women Owned Small Business, Small disadvantaged business, or Small Business HUB Zone business) 4. Capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. 5.
