Electron Beam Powder Bed Additive Manufacturing System

Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting information from qualified Suppliers on behalf of the Material Science and Engineering Department for an Electron Beam Powder Bed Additive Manufacturing System that is fully controllable for a wide range of parameters, including beam trigger control and beam steering/deflection. This equipment will expand the research capabilities of the research group to allow the printing of a wide variety of materials. The objective for this equipment is to enable the additive manufacturing of complex structures of various topologies/shapes, using a wide variety of starting materials (with different compositions and different material families) while monitoring the process for research activities involving new sensors, cameras, etc. for enabling new degrees of quality control for new materials and structures.
