The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has made a preliminary decision to approve Columbia River Carbonates’ (CRC) application for Air Quality Control Minor Permit AQ0483MSS04 for the Calder Mine under Alaska Statutes 46.14 and regulations 18 AAC 50. Applicant: Columbia River Carbonates, 300 N. Pekin Road, Woodland, WA 98674 Location: Prince of Wales Island, Alaska Activity: CRC’s application is classified under 18 AAC 50.508(6) for revising and rescinding the terms and conditions of a Title I permit. CRC is revising the emissions unit inventory. Emissions: The potential annual emissions of regulated air pollutants will increase by 1.8 tpy for NOx, 7.0 tpy for CO, 5.6 tpy for PM-10/PM-2.5, 3.0 tpy for VOC, and 3.4 tpy for SO 2 due to the owner requested limit in the permit. ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on review of the application, ADEC drafted a preliminary permit decision for this project under AS 46.14 and 18 AAC 50. Available Information: Copies of the permit
