Project Description: The project will lead the development of an extensive, multiagency transportation and mitigation feasibility study including BNSF, National Passenger Rail Corporation (Amtrak), Sound Transit, the Federal Railroad

Administration (FRA), Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the Port of Seattle and Northwest Seaport Alliance, the South Downtown (SODO) Business Improvement Association (BIA), and the residential communities in the area while centering the objectives of the Railroad Crossing Elimination program with a particular emphasis on multimodal safety. SDOT’s proposed study aims to understand what infrastructure investments are required to maintain east-west transportation network continuity for all modal users, including all of our supply chain partners.
