Objective: To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. B. The Government requires one (1) Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) system for the Weapons and Materials Research Directorate, Materials Manufacturing Technology Branch (RDRL-WMM-D) that meets the following minimum specifications: • The overall dimensions shall not exceed 80 centimeter (cm) width by 95 cm deep by 225 cm high. • The machine's thermal energy source shall be Ytterbium fiber laser with a minimum power of 200 watts and wavelength of 900 - 1200 nanometers (nm). • The diameter of the laser beam in the build area shall have a minimum focus diameter of 40 micrometers. • Shall employ a dual re-circulating filter system including a pre-filter and main filter for handling of fumes generated during processing in a self-contained filter system. • Shall have the ability to use different material re-coater blades and shall come with a minimum of the following three (3) types: high strength steel, ceramic, and carbon fiber brush.
