Vegetation and Sediment removal with Concrete Repairs Johnstown, Pennsylvania, SynopsisThe U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement to complete channel maintenance work within the River boundaries of Conemaugh, Little Conemaugh, and Stonycreek Rivers, in the Local Flood Protection Project, in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.  More specifically, the work area is located between Roosevelt Boulevard Bridge and Power Street and 6th Avenue intersection.  This project is near Sargent’s Stadium near the confluence of the Stonycreek and Little Conemaugh Rivers. The major features of the requirements are identified below:The overall contract scope of work consists of removing of approximately 13,000 cubic yards of sediment that will be disposed of at a properly permitted facility and to restore the channel to as-built conditions. These sediment deposits will be sampled, removed, and disposed of in accordance with current State and Federal regulations.  Also
work will include the cleaning/repairing of approximately 140 weepholes along the concrete slopes and cleaning/resealing of approximately 2,000 linear feet of concrete expansion joints.  This work will occur over a length of approximately 8,000 linear feet of river channel between Sargent’s Stadium and the access ramp at the intersection of Power Street and 6th Avenue. The work area can be accessed from two (2) existing ramp locations located near the Incline Plane adjacent to Roosevelt Boulevard and at the intersection of Power Street and 6th Avenue.The work shall be completed within 365 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.This acquisition will be procured as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract.  All responsible Bidders are encouraged to participate. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 22 July 2022, online through Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) which posts the opportunity to SAM.gov; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored.The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 237990 – Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities and the small business size standard is $30 Million.In order to submit a Bid on this project, your company must-Have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) Number. Currently, considered as the DUNS. This is a unique nine-character identification number that is provided by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) free of charge.  Be registered with an active registration on the SAM website as an Entity. There is no cost to use SAM. It is MANDATORY that all vendors be registered on the SAM.gov website in order to receive contracts.Be registered in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) for the Solicitation Module with the Proposal Manger role.Requesting a Unique Entity Identifier Number (DUNS)Requesting a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) takes about 10 minutes.
