The City adopted a very simple public art master plan in 2007, which added a Public Art Fund, Public Art Ordinance, and Arts Commission. However, this existing and very basic plan is insufficient to guide Milpitas' Public Art Program as it exists today. Milpitas requires a modernized Public Art Plan that anticipates future needs and establishes protocols consistent with best practices in the municipal public art realm.The proposal should include the firm's qualifications; a list of staff to be assigned to the project and their resumes; and links to and references for 3-6 similar Public Art Master Plan projects the firm has completed in the past six years.
