Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Trane Chillers for WPAFB Bldg. 254 New Construction Addition

SPECIAL NOTICE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, supplies and services as required for the WPAFB Bldg. 254 New Construction Addition for research project, to result in a complete and useable facility.As part of the solicitation, USACE intends to include the following sole source requirements:Trane Chillers – The replacement chillers will specifically be Trane Model chillers. This is required for the new chiller to tie into the current building management system being utilized by WPAFB. Trane has offices around the world, with a regional office in Holland, Ohio. WPAFB has implemented an installation standardization of HVAC chiller manufacturers in order to reduce overall costs and increase overall performance
